How to begin

If you’ve never been to therapy before, it’s completely normal to feel unsure about what to expect. To begin, you can reach out via the contact form to arrange a free introductory call. This first meeting is a chance for us to get to know each other, talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, and see whether working together feels like a good fit. There’s no pressure or commitment—just a space to begin the conversation. From there we can decide to organise a first session

Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes. I offer a free 15-minute phone or video consultation.

This is an opportunity for us to briefly discuss what is bringing you to therapy, ask practical questions, and get a sense of whether we might be a good fit to work together.

There is no obligation to continue. Finding the right therapist is important, and I encourage clients to take the time to choose someone they feel comfortable with.

What topics can we work on in therapy?

I often work with people who appear to be coping well on the outside but feel anxious, disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure of who they are beneath the roles they have learned to perform.

In our sessions, we can explore a wide range of issues, including but not limited to:

  • Anxiety and Stress : Understanding the root causes of anxiety and approaches to overwhelming feelings.
  • Depression and Low Mood: Exploring feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and understanding patterns that may contribute to low mood.
  • Relationship Issues: Navigating challenges in romantic relationships, family dynamics, and friendships.
  • Self-Esteem and Confidence: Building a stronger sense of self-worth and addressing negative self-beliefs.
  • Life Transitions: Managing significant life changes, such as relocation, career shifts, or personal loss.
  • Grief and Loss: Finding support and understanding in moments of loss and change.
  • Trauma and Emotional Healing: Gently processing past experiences that continue to impact your present life.
  • Identity and Personal Growth: Exploring who you are, your values, and your goals for the future.
  • Work-Related Stress and Burnout: Addressing career pressures, finding balance, and building resilience.
  • Cultural Adjustment: Navigating cultural differences, especially for those living away from their 'home' country and those adapting to life in a new country.

Therapy is a space where all topics are welcome, and together we can explore whatever feels most important to you. If you’re unsure whether your concern fits into one of these categories, feel free to reach out—I’m here to help.

Do you work with professionals and expats

Yes. Many of my clients are professionals living internationally or working in demanding corporate environments.

Having spent many years living abroad and working in senior business roles, I understand some of the challenges that can accompany professional success, including stress, perfectionism, career uncertainty, burnout, identity questions, and difficulties balancing work with personal relationships and wellbeing.

Confidentiality + Ethics

Everything you share in therapy is treated with the utmost care and confidentiality. I work in accordance with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Ethical Framework, which guides my commitment to professional, safe, and ethical practice.

This means I provide a space where your privacy is respected and protected. What we talk about stays between us, with just a few legal and ethical exceptions—such as if I believe you or someone else is at serious risk of harm, or if required by law. If that ever became relevant, I would always aim to discuss it with you first, whenever possible.

As part of maintaining ethical standards, I also attend regular clinical supervision. This is a confidential space where I reflect on my work to ensure I'm supporting you in the best way I can. Your identity is protected in this process.

If you have questions or concerns about confidentiality at any time, I’ll always be happy to talk them through with you.

Canellation Policy

A minimum of 24 hours notice is required if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. If notice is not provided, the full session fee will be charged.

Can I work with you if I am French

Absolutely. I welcome clients from all backgrounds who feel comfortable having therapy in English.

Although I speak French in everyday life, I currently practise therapy in English. If you are unsure whether working in English would feel right for you, we can discuss this during a free 15-minute consultation.

Contracting

Before we begin working together, I offer a written therapy contract that outlines the practical and ethical framework of our work. This includes things like session length and frequency, fees, cancellation policy, confidentiality, and how I work as a therapist.

The contract is there to create clarity, mutual respect, and a sense of safety as we begin the therapeutic relationship. We’ll take time to go through it together in our first session, and you’re welcome to ask questions or raise anything that doesn’t feel clear or comfortable.
